Ammoudia

Ammoudia is a small fishing village(approx. 350 inhabitants) on the westcoast across from island Paxi, approx. 50 km nothern from Preveza and 20 km southern from Parga.


It is located on the mouth of Acheron river, which was deemed to be the entrance of Underworld in ancient Greek mythology. On the bank of the river small taverns are ranked, where one can enjoy the greek specialities on the treeshadow together with the locals.


The half-moon-formed bay, with its close-grained, almost white sandy beach and cristal-clear water, offers bathpleasure of special class.
